NPP Diaspora Endorses Bawumia In UK

The signal picked at the just ended NPP International Women’s Conference hosted by the UK Branch Women’s Wing is that the rank and file of the external branches are poised to make Dr. Bawumia the presidential candidate of the NPP for the 2024 general elections. The support, singing, dancing, and the thunderous chant of Bawumia Must Win was overwhelming. H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was even amazed with the total support that seemed like coronation. In fact, support for other candidates was missing at the event.

The conference attracted huge numbers across the diaspora, including delegates and party executives just because Dr. Bawumia was coming. As usual, Dr. Bawumia did not disappoint the participants with his exceptional presidential speech, capturing the 100 reasons to vote NPP to remain in power. HE the Vice President spoke about the Ghana project, what has been done so far home and abroad, what is being done and what could be done to build Ghana based on the solid foundation this current government has built. When the support is quite overwhelming, as demonstrated at the event, Dr. Bawumia was right in concentrating much of his speech on hope in prospects of Ghana’s developmental growth rather than trying to convince his audience why he should be voted to lead the party and eventually lead the country.

The Diaspora4DMB team in attendance sought feedback from many attendees and the common theme was that DMB, is the only one that can break the 8 with many citing his track records of achievement as well as his humility and respect for all. The party members in the diaspora are really touched by Bawumia’s love and passion to build Ghana through strong institutions, stopping corruption, making life much easier through paperless services, and promoting security of Ghana through his digitalisation campaign, which received much praise from the Ghanaian community in the diaspora. People were amazed at how he spoke more about Ghana and a little about himself. Diaspora4DMB can convincingly conclude from the interviews that there were no dissenting views at the event about Bawumia’s candidature. By the end of the event, the floating voters among the delegates were convinced that Bawumia is the best to lead us and next to lead after Nana Addo. The conference started on purpose as NPP International Women’s Conference, but it unintentionally ended like a DMB Diaspora campaign launch!
