KMA to ban Tricycles “Aboboya & Pragia” in the Central Business District of Kumasi
The transport sub-committee of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has proposed a restriction on tricycles in the Central business district of Kumasi.
According to the Public Relationship officer of the KMA, the new measure is in line to loosen the congestion in the central business district.
Afia Konadu speaking on Kessben FM’s Breaking News with Kwasi Ntiamoah said the proposal has since been accepted by the General Assembly of KMA.
She noted that the new measure was to be implemented on 15th June 2023 but due to some engagements which ought to be done, the implementation has been pushed forward.
She reiterates after all the necessary stakeholder engagements, the official announcement of the restriction will be made.
