NPP Presidential Primaries :Market Queens Picks Form For Alan
A group of market queen mothers besieged the NPP head quarters to pay and pick the nomination forms for former trade minister , Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremanteng . In a rather spectacular fashion, the market queens clad in rich beautiful Kente cloth ,ornaments and head gears to match crowded the party headquarters to pick the forms in agrand style. Numbering about 60 they comprised of Queen mothers of various commodities from the Kumasi and Accra markets.
They told the party executives that they are doing that to show their solidarity to the former trade minister to reciprocate his good works when he was the trade minister. The spokesperson for the group Nana Serwaa indicated that if a man who has brought so much relief and uniqueness to business is filing for president, they as traders have to support him. According to her , Alan Kyeremanteng has done so well for them and so they decided to pay for his filing fee and pick the forms for him. So the market queens collected levies some traders totalling 100,000 Ghc to pay the 50,000 Ghc fee for him leaving a balance of 50,000 Ghc for other things .
She disclosed that market women of Ghana will throw their weight behind Alan for a resounding victory during the primaries and election proper. The team also comprised of his campaign team members , Hon . Yaw Buabeng Asamoah , Hon Ayikwei Otoo , Hon Abubakar Saddiq and party supporters. Yaw Buabeng Asamoa later spoke to the media. He was in high spirits and stressed that his candidate stands to win the primaries.
He told the media that the dawn is here for his candidate’s victory . The team later drove to their campaign office at Dworwulu to present the forms to Hon. Alan Kyeremanteng.
