Emirates have contributed immensely to Ghana’s economic growth

The Most Valuable Airline Brand in Ghana, Emirates have facilitated Ghana’s trade and investments opportunities and promotions and have also helped to position Ghana as a leading travel destination in West Africa.

The airline have contributed to the economic growth of the country and created job opportunities for Ghanaians through the collaborations with local businesses and suppliers across the country.

Consequently, the airline have fervently exhibited its commitments in providing an exceptional services which have impacted positively in the aviation industry in its 19 years of operations in the country.

The Country Manager for Emirates in Ghana and Ivory Coast Cathrine Wesley was answering questions on the general operations of the airline in Ghana and said the airline have demonstrated excellence in providing its customers with the best travel experience and as such have been honoured as the Most Valuable Airline Brand at the 2023 Global Business Quality Awards held on 24th March, 2023 at the Labadi Beach Hotel.

According to her, the award is a testament to their hard work and serve also as a great motivation for the airline to strive to excellence which has maintained Emirates as the leading airline in Ghana and beyond.

“Emirates is committed to providing its customers with the highest levels of service and ensuring that their travel experience is seamless and enjoyable”, she added.

The Country Manager however expressed her gratitude to all stakeholders in the aviation space, management and staff of the airline for their dedication to work saying the gesture have collectively led to the success story of the airline operations in Ghana.

“Your dedication and commitment to excellence have helped the airline to maintain its top role and position in the aviation industry”, she said and again challenged all staff to work assiduously to contribute to the growth and success of Emirates.

Emirates have received Awards in Ghana and includes the Presidential Honour for Distinguished Service at the 2023 Ghana National Awards from President Akuffo-Addo for Emirates role in transporting medical supplies, humanitarian aid, and unstinting support to Ghana during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Emirates supported the transport of equipment donated by China’s Jack Ma Foundation to the Government of Ghana and operated 12 repatriation flights from Dubai to Accra, bringing back over 3000 Ghanaian citizens, residents and others from over 31 cities across its network seeking to return to the country. During the pandemic, Emirates’ cargo arm airlifted and distributed 62 tonnes of Covid-19 vaccines, surpassing one billion doses to over 80 destinations on 2,000 Emirates flights with two-thirds of these doses transported to developing countries, including Ghana.
