Widowed mother of 8 gets capital from Kessben Outreach Foundation to start a business

The mother of the eight children said that she had been selling tiger nuts to make ends meet since her husband died two years ago.

She revealed that she has been taking the tiger nuts on credit and after selling them, she will make sales to the owner of the tiger nuts before she gets her due.

On a good, she will get around GHC15 by selling the tiger nut, which she has been using to feed the 8 children.

In an interactive chat with Sammy Adu Boakye, the mother of 8 said she needed GHC500 to start off her own business.

The Kessben Outreach Foundation upon her hearing the story the woman tripled her demand by supporting her with GHC1500 as capital for her business.

I gave her a blank cheque but…..
How much do you need to do a business so u can take care of all these children?
Woman: Hmmm braa…500….
Are u sure?
Woman: “I usually take tiger nut on credit to sell, I get 10 cedis or sometimes 15 cedis when the market is good and that’s how I feed all 8 children my husband died two years ago….”
Trust
me… 1500 capital could make her collapse. She’s only heard about it.. but never dreams of holding one.
You reading this can only be grateful.
Little acts of kindness… help someone when u can….
