A Ghanaian man Known as Apam Hilliah cannot phantom why most Ghanaian women who claim not to have money always get money to contribute to their daily savings.
The worried Ghanaian suspects these women who claim not to have money might be cutting corners from the chop money from their husbands and boyfriends to contribute to the daily susu.
He particularly stressed about the no “change/balance” mantra which has been a policy of many Ghanaian women with regards to any amount you give her to go to the market, she will come back and tell you she has exhausted the amount.
“When you give a Ghanaian woman Ghs100 to prepare Fufuo and Abekwan for say an average Ghanaian family and you later ask for change, she would tell you that the meal is capital intensive and so no change was left. Fair enough! Give her the same amount to prepare Anwamo or “Oil rice”, one of the cheapest meals to cook and she would tell you no change was left; same mantra.
