Let’s Build Stronger Women To Make a Strong Party – NPP – USA Chairperson

Mrs Obaa Yaa Amponsah Frimpong the Chairperson of NPP-USA has reiterated the need to building stronger women to help make the governing New Patriotic Party stronger as the party brace itself for the 2024 general elections.

The United States branch Chairperson was speaking on the Theme “Building Stronger Women to make a Strong Party”at a summit organized by the NPP-USA branch Women’s Wing to mark mother’s day in Atlanta Georgia.

She expressed gratitude to the Women’s
Wing leadership and the gallant women who worked hard to bring them together in Atlanta, Georgia, to celebrate Mother’s Day and also hold the Women’s Summit and dinner dance 2023.

She acknowledged and applauded the tireless efforts of the Atlanta Chapter Team, who made the event possible.

“Plato’s words are profound and worth pondering: “One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.” Our theme for this Women’s Summit,”Building Stronger Women to Make a Strong Party,” could not be more fitting. So what does it take to build stronger women? The answer is simple:a strong woman stands up for herself, but a stronger woman stands up
for everybody else.

As Roxanne Dubnar stated,”More and
more women are realizing that only collective strength and action will allow us to be free to fight for the kind of society that meets basic human needs.”No country can truly thrive by stifling the potential of its women and depriving itself of half of its citizens ‘contributions, as Michelle Obama once said.

Therefore, women must become stronger
and more involved. Women play a crucial
role in our politics she added.

She urged them to support women candidates financially, and help create a culture within the party that values and respects women’s voices and perspectives.

She encourage the women, to build their leadership skills by taking on leadership roles within their communities, such as leading a community organization.

This experience can help you
develop skills such as communication, decision-making, and collaboration, which are essential for effective leadership in politics.

When women are in positions of power, they bring a unique perspective that is often lacking in politics. They understand women’s issues and are more likely to advocate for policies that benefit women and families.

They are also more likely to collaborate and find common ground, rather than engage in divisive politics.

It is, therefore, not just a goal but a
necessity to build stronger women within our party.

The New Patriotic Party must fully recognize women as the backbone of our communities, political system, and party. When women succeed,we all succeed.

We must create a level playing field so that women can have an equal chance to
succeed,regardless of their backgrounds.

Building stronger women to have a
strong party is not just the right thing
to do;it is also the smart thing to do.
When we have more women in leadership positions, we are more likely to have policies that benefit everyone.Let us encourage other women to get involved in politics by mentoring them and providing them with opportunities to get involved.

This can help to build a strong
network of women who are committed to making a difference in politics. In doing this, we are also more likely to create a political culture that values
collaboration and cooperation, rather than division and conflict she concluded.
