C/R: Headteacher & 10 students bitten by snakes while easing themselves in bush (Video)
Ten(10) pupils and a head teacher of Egyankwaa Owuya D/A Basic School in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region so far have been bitten by snakes for easing themselves in the bush in the last two months.
According to them at least 10 students and a teacher of the school have received snake bites because of the lack of a place of convenience in the School.
Due to the situation, the teacher and the students are forced to ease themselves in the nearby bush behind the school.
“Somewhere last year a head teacher of the school was easing himself in the bush and a snake bite his “bottom”, close to his private organs”,
He said a student who was at the same time defecating in the same bush came to rescue the teacher and rushed him to the hospital for treatment.
Egyankwaa Owuya D/A Basic School in the Central Region lacks infrastructure including toilet facilities.
The pupils and the staff are therefore calling on authorities to come to their aid.
