Phone of Fetish priestess stolen while performing rituals at festival (Video)

While Winneba natives in the Central Region celebrated the Aboakyer hunt for the deer, criminals took advantage of the celebrations to scavenge for “goodies” in people’s bags and purses.

The fetish priestess who was taking part in the festival claimed that she had been robbed of her phone, money, and pocketbook.

In addition, the fetish priestess warned that if her belongings were not restored, the thief would perish too soon.

The town’s youth persisted in getting ready for the hunt and celebrating with dancing and drumming despite the event.

Every year during the first week of May, the Effutus in Winneba hold the Aboakyer festival to commemorate the migration of the Simpafo, the inhabitants of Winneba.
