Ghana Black Starlets fight back to beat Spain 3-2, face Switzerland in final game on Tuesday
Ghana’s Black Starlets (Male U-17) defeated Spain 3-2 in a thrilling match in the UEFA under-16 young development competition in Serbia.
The Black Starlets battled back to earn their second victory of the season after conceeding an early goal.
Benjamin Tsivano, who scored a hat-trick in the first game against Serbia, extended his hot streak with two goals in this one.
Peter Hammond also scored for Ghana, aided by the fact that the game ended with only nine players on the field after two players were sent off in the second half.
The win comes on the heels of Ghana’s 4-0 victory over Serbia in the tournament opener. The team’s final game will be against Switzerland on Tuesday, April 18.
