Premier League predictions: Week 31
The first legs of the Champions League and Europa League quarter-finals are in the rear view mirror and it’s time for some more high-octane Premier League action.
It’s a full weekend of fixtures for week 31 of the season, kicked off by two sides in tremendous form – Unai Emery’s Aston Villa take on Eddie Howe’s Newcastle in Saturday’s early game.
Chelsea then headline the 3pm games, as they welcome to Brighton to Stamford Bridge, while relegation threatened Everton take on Fulham.
Southampton have a must-win game against Crystal Palace to contend with and it’s Tottenham vs Bournemouth and Wolves vs Brentford to round off the afternoon fixtures. Manchester City host Leicester in Saturday’s evening match – the first of Dean Smith’s interim reign as Foxes boss.
West Ham host title-chasing Arsenal at the London Stadium in the first of two Sunday offerings, before Nottingham Forest attempt to down an injury-ridden Manchester United at The City Ground.
Leeds round off by the action by hosting Liverpool in a potentially mouthwatering encounter on Monday night, looking to banish the demons of their horrific 5-1 loss last time out at Elland Road.

90min is predicting just four of the 10 games to go the way of the home sides, with some of the Premier League’s heaviest hitters on the road this weekend.
There’s five predicted away wins, including victories for Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool, with the only share of the spoils anticipated to be between Chelsea and high-flying Brighton.

In the battle to avoid relegation, Everton, Wolves and Crystal Palace are tipped to pick up huge morale boosting victories, but it could be another difficult weekend for Leicester at the Etihad Stadium.
If the results go the way 90min thinks they will, the bottom three will look the same – Nottingham Forest, Leicester and Southampton occupying the drop spots – but Sean Dyche’s Toffees could be up to 15th with a win over out of sorts Fulham.
Crystal Palace will almost certainly be safe if they win at St Mary’s, marking three consecutive victories for Roy Hodgson upon his return to management at the ripe old age of 75.
