National Road Safety Commission should be blamed for road accident for not accepting towing levy – Road Safety expert

The chief Executive officer of private Day and Night towing Service Mr. Thomas Owusu Ansah has attributed the rampant road accident in the country to National Road Safety Commission for sleeping on their job.

According to Mr Thomas Owusu, the road carnage in the country would have been controlled had the NRSA accepted towing levy. He explained that as part of the towing levy, rest stop, Ambulance, and 24-hour monitoring pickups were instituted to report and clear all faulty vehicles such a move didn’t materialize because National Road Safety Commission failed to endorse it.

Mr Thomas Owusu Ansah speaking Kessben maakye show with Hon Akuoko Kwarteng he said, the rest stop would allow Drivers to relax from fatigue and gain strength to drive carefully on our roads to ensure accident-free but since 2005 they brought such innovative ideas it is not been implemented.

The CEO of a private Day and Night towing Service said if the country is still struggling to control road accidents then National Road Safety Commission should be blamed.

Thomas He further threatened to sue National Road Safety Commission if they are embarking on similar services on our highways to control accidents.
