Sonnie Achiba chronicles issues that led to his 20 years music hiatus

Emmanuel JB Danquah aka Sony Achiba, a hiplife musician, has opened up about how he endured a dramatic fall in the industry after former Peace FM presenter, Fiifi Banson made an ugly comment about his career leading to his exit from the music scene for about 20 years.

Speaking in an interview with Mr. Bonez on Kessben TV, Sonnie Achieba chronicled the circumstances that drove him to forsake music and travel outside of Ghana to pursue others things.

The Abiba hitmaker revealed that after two years in the music industry, he applied for a loans to invest in his next music project, but everything went south.

He disclosed that his investors wanted the music to be heard on the airwaves and thus made moves to radio stations for promotion however after Fiifi made that very distasteful comment about his new project which he had invested so much into, things turn bad.

According to him, Fiifi’s comment was a blow to him because it cost him a lot of money for the music not to fly, and thus all the money he invested became a debt around his neck.

Sonnie Achieba added that during the period he was also having issues in his relationship with his Indian girlfriend that left him with no other choice than to flee Ghana and abandoned music.

After 20 years of hiatus, the great hiplife musician has returned to music and is all set for multiple music releases.
