Andy Kerm, an outspoken sports journalist with Kessben Media Group (KMG), has highlighted four significant reasons why Asante Kotoko coach Seydou Zerbo must be fired.
Andy reckons the Burkinabe has outlived his grace period at the club as a result of his poor performance.
Following Kotoko’s defeat to their bitterest Rival Accra Hearts of Oak at the Accra sports stadium last Sunday, many Kumasi Asante Kotoko fans have joined the call for the Burkinabe to be axed.
The well-versed sports journalist speaking on Kessben FM’s Midfield Action sports show with Sir Joe Laka outlined 4 key points why Zerbo should not be made to continue as a coach for the Asante Kotoko.
Bad Results
First, of the key reasons, Andy notes are the bad results of Seydou Zerbo. The club’s away record has been abysmal since Seydou joined the team in August 2022.
Disorganized bench
According to Andy Kerm, there is no proper structure at the bench of the reigning champions which ought to be put other by the coach but unfortunately, the coach is blind to this therefore must be sacked.
Bad Substitutions
An observation that has been identified by many Asante Kotoko fans has been the bad substitutions by the Burkinabe, Andy buttressed on that.
Language not a barrier but pure incompetence at play:
A section of the fans and some football pundits have raised concerns that the Burkinabe is probably not giving off his best due to the language barrier of not being able to communicate with his L1 9 (French) with the players. Andy Kerm expounded that language can never be a barrier in this but the coach is just incompetent for the Asante Kotoko job.
