The President of Guinea-Bissau is the guest of honor in the 2023 President’s Cup
The President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, will be the special guest of honor at the President’s Cup in 2023, according to the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
On Sunday, March 5, a highly anticipated encounter between two of Ghana’s most popular football teams, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The game, which will take place during week 20 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season, will be a tribute to Ghana’s leader.
Following consultations among the parties concerned, the decision to use the match to honor the President was made.
“H.E. Umaro Sissoco Embaló, President of Guinea Bissau and the Chairman of the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government will be the special guest of honour.” the ministry said.
