Kwame Yeboah, 60, alias Kwaakontor, burned his 31-year-old son Eric Yaw Frimpong with firewood at Berekum-Amankokwaa in the Bono Region’s Berekum West District.
The dad had been abusing his son, attempting to injure him multiple times and destroying the rear half of his son’s body with firewood.
The victim described how his father neglected him and assigned him to solely farming on his cashew and cocoa plantation, not taking him to school and instead forcing him into farming and hard work without regard for his wellbeing, only to burn him for not going to farm.
The victim revealed that he has been through all of this because his mother is no longer alive.
Mr Kwame Yeboah, the father, however, indicated that when his son was offered to join a trade, he rejected it, and as a result, he asked him to work on his farm.
He went on to say that his kid is stubborn and refuses to listen to his advice, but it was not his goal to burn the rear of his son’s body.
