Superstition: Juju In football is only meant to destroy, It does not win games – Eric Bekoe
Eric Bekoe, a former Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker, has stated that Juju (superstition) does not play any significant role in sports.
According to the former Ghana Premier League goal king, individuals that participate in Juju in football do it solely to ruin.
Bekoe said if Juju had any positive impact on the game, players will not be training ahead of games.
“I don’t believe in that. Juju does not work in football. Throughout my playing career from Liberty, Heart of Lions, and Asante Kotoko, I have never engaged in that.
If there was juju in football, players would not be training ahead of games. It is about hard work. It is about good training. It is about it’s about the experience.
Juju in football is only meant to destroy. It does not win games or bring any development to the game” Bekoe said on Kessben FM’s Midfield Action Sports show.
