Former Asante Kotoko player, Stephen Manu asserts Hearts of Oak defender Konadu Yiadom was overhyped by sports commentators.
Stephen Manu speaking on Kessben TV evaluated that Konadu did not deserve the hype around him prior to his move to Accra Hearts of Oak in August 2022.
The former WAFA defender has so far woefully failed to live up to expectations since he joined Accra Hearts of Oak.
“Most of these players are overhyped by the sports presenters. You just look at his standard, he did not deserve that.
He was overhyped and I blame the media for this. Just check since he joined Hearts of Oak, and they also gave him an opportunity with the CHAN team yet still the performance was not good.
Let’s see maybe he will be better in the weeks ahead. For the media, they will hype you but the pitch will always determine everything” Stephen Manu said.
Prior to Konadu’s move to Accra Hearts of Oak, Ghanaian champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko was part of the club chasing the WAFA defender but ended up at Hearts of Oak.
