School placement scandal: Education minister credibility is intact & even ready to meet FBI for probe – Kwasi Kwarteng

The Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of Education Kwasi Kwarteng has underlined that irrespective of the school placement scandal, the credibility of the sector minister Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum is not damaged.

The Ministry of Education has been accused of taking monies from some parents before giving their wards chance in category A schools in the country.

Following these allegations, most concerned citizens believe that the reputation of the Education minister is stained.

Speaking with Kessben Maakye show with Hon Akuoko Kwarteng, the Education ministry spokesperson insisted that Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum is not involved in the scandal so his good name can’t be ruined by the allegations.

He said since the minister has done nothing he is not afraid of any probe from independent prosecutors not even the FBI in the United States.

Kwasi Kwarteng mentioned that the scandal is now under investigation by the police, hence, Ghanaians should allow Ghana police to bring their determination.

He added that the ministry will not shed its staff from the probe should they involve in any criminality of the allegations.
