‘Breaking The Eight With DMB’ Volunteer Group Organized A Mammoth Reception For Dr. Bawumia At MND Jawula’s Funeral

A pro-Bawumia support group, Breaking The Eight With DMB, on Monday, February 6, 2024, led supporters of the NPP in the Savanna Region to organize a rousing reception for His Excellency Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of the Republic, as he attended the final funeral rites of the Late Lepowura, MND Jawula, a party stalwart, in Salaga.

Adorned in customized ‘breaking the eight with DMB’ t-shirts and party paraphernalia, and led by their National Coordinator, Rahman Zak, members of the Group, many of whom double as party executives and supporters of the NPP virtually set the entire Salaga township agog with a jamboree in demonstration of their unalloyed support and admiration for H.E Dr. Bawumia, who is widely tipped to lead the NPP as its next Flagbearer.

The Vice President was accompanied by many Party stalwarts including the General Secretary of the NPP, Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong, Ministers of State, and over 40 NPP Members of Parliament, led by the Majority Leader, Hon Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu.

The Late Traditional Ruler of the Kpembe Traditional Area, Alhaji Jawula, who once served as the Chairman of the Ghana Football Association, died on Saturday, January 21, 2023. He was a staunch member of the NPP and was shortlisted for the Running Mate of the Party ahead of the 2008 General Elections.

Breaking the eight with DMB is a Volunteer Group with a nationwide structure from constituency to national level, comprising members of the NPP who have volunteered to work hard for Dr. Bawumia to win the next flagbearship contest of the NPP in order to boost the Party’s chances of winning the 2024 polls. The group was founded by Rahman Zak, a party patron.
