School asks maths teacher applicants to solve equation before appointment

It’s always good to stand out from the crowd, regardless of what the requirements are. A school was looking to hire a math teacher and instead of posting a regular advertisement, they asked applicants to solve an equation.

What a better way to hire a new math teacher than by asking them to solve an equation? That’s exactly what a school in Gujarat, India, did. Their ad has since made the rounds online after it was posted on Twitter

The intriguing advertisement concealed their phone number within an equation, asking applicants wanting to apply for the job to solve the equation and call the number. This way, the school was able to narrow down the first round of applicants to those who could actually figure out the correct phone number.

Many users online enjoyed this type of application process and took to trying to solve the problems themselves. One person wrote: “Time saved! Solver of the query gets hired immediately! haha.”

Another was able to come to the correct solution: “Answer is ‘9428163811.’ That’s the 10-digit mobile number to call. Manually self-solved myself. No calculator, no help, no check, nothing else. In quick time as I just saw ur tweet. Prize Money at least plz award me, Sir!”
