SDK loses mom barely a year after father’s death
Ghanaian comedian SDK Dele announced the passing of his mother this dawn to the shock of many as he had just returned to work after his father’s death last year.
SDK lost his father in November 2021, which preceded a hiatus and a massive comeback that has revolutionized the food content space.
Both his father and mother featured in many of his comedy skits and have become exemplary figures of parent-child relationships.
In an interview with Delay, SDK revealed that his mother was bedridden and that his father’s constant seizures had doubled his burden.
The interview took a controversial turn when he admitted to asking his father to give up the ghost to lessen his burden and his father’s pain.
Today, he affirmed the death of his mother on his official Twitter page. He did not add details of her death but posted a picture, captioning, “Lost my lovely mom….Rest in peace, Mama.”
