‘Team no aye yie’ We will win double – Kotoko fans brag after beating bottom-placed Kotoku Royals
Kumasi Asante Kotoko were handed their first win in about 5 games in the Ghana premier league against bottom-placed Kotoku Royals on matchday 14 of the Betpawa Premier League at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
After comprehensively beating the potentially to be relegated side by 5-1, the confidence of the supporters has resurfaced with conviction that they can retain the league title.
Many of the supporters who spoke on Kessben TV after the game were excited about the game which gave them hope that the team can win double by winning retaining the league and winning the MTN FA cup as well.
“The team is now better and now sweet. I’m saying that we are going to win the league and the FA Cup” One fan said.
We are very much excited about the performance of the team. Justice Blay did very well defensively and collectively all the players did well”
The win moved the Kumasi-based football club to the 2nd position of the league table with 24 points with a point different from the league leaders Aduana FC who are leading the table with 25 points.
