Go for regular check-ups and avoid waiting to fall sick before running to hospitals – Dr Chidi


DR George Chidi, a leading medical doctor for Legacy foundation a nonprofitable organisation has advised Ghanaians to go for regular check-ups to avoid being sick before visiting hospitals.

According to him such an attitude by most Ghanaians does not help the quality health care delivery system in the country.


Dr Chidi stressed on this when the Legacy foundation in collaboration with CD special hospital organized a free health screening for the residents of South Sentreso in the Ashanti region.


Dr Chidi noted that especially woman should make periodically to check their breasts to avoid breast cancer because early detection help doctors in curing.

The medical doctor reiterated that breast cancer that’s found early when it’s small and has not spread, is easier to treat successfully without any trace again, noting that getting regular screening tests are the most reliable way to find breast cancers cured.

Not only about breast cancers, did Dr Chidi emphasise but encouraged Ghanaians to make it a habit to screen themselves time in and time out.
