Moses Abor explains why he resigned from his NPP post

On Monday, September 18, Moses Abor, the Greater Accra Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), submitted his resignation from his position.

In a letter addressed to the General Secretary of the party, Abor stated his intention to participate in the upcoming parliamentary primaries in the Ayawaso Central Constituency which is currently represented by the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey.

He expressed that his contributions within the party have prepared him to now serve in Parliament, with the aim of securing victory for the NPP in the Ayawaso Central constituency in the upcoming election.

In an interview on Kessben TV, he noted that politics is merely a means of self-promotion, citing his journey from being a polling station youth organizer to rising as the polling station chairman and youth organizer for the NPP. He now sees it as an opportune moment to advance to a higher position.

According to him, the delegates of Ayawaso Central urged and encouraged him to lead the constituency in the upcoming 2024 elections. He believes that the election is a challenging task and requires someone who is closely connected with the people.

He expressed that, after several consultations, he realized the 2024 election needs a new candidate and he is prepared to serve the party in Parliament to increase their votes and ensure victory in the constituency in 2024.

Mr.Abor concluded that he has dedicated himself to leading Ayawaso Central as the delegates requested and does not want to let them down.
