Corruption at Kejetia Market: If someone is not jailed, I will campaign against NPP – Ziega
Political and social analyst, Nana Frimpong Ziega is saddened by the height of corruption at the Kejetia market in Kumasi.
Traders at the New Kejetia market have reportedly been enduring some worst forms of dictums in their bid to earn living to feed their families.
The recent vexation of the traders at the Kejetia market has been the alleged exploitation by the authorities of the market through electricity bills and some other charges.
With many stores in the market, there are few ECG meters and billing have been very much unfair to these traders.
Shop operators in the markets have cried over the years for individual shops to get their own meters but their plea seems not to make so much sense to the authorities.
This is alleged to have opened a floodgate for corruption in the market at the expense of these traders.
Nana Frimpong Ziega addressing the issue on Kessben Maakye indicated his readiness to spark a campaign against the NPP Government if the need of the traders are not met.
He warned that if some people within the top hierarchy are not prosecuted and thus jailed, he will be forced to embark on a massive campaign against the ruling Goverment.
