Young Chorale set to thrill with Adoration 2023

Young Chorale Ghana, an interdenominational choral group hosts its first event dubbed, Adoration 2023 on Sunday, January 29.

The virtual show-themed Hymni Amanus, translated hymns we love will be streamed live on the Facebook and YouTube pages of Young Chorale.

According to George Edzi, founder of Young Chorale Ghana, the group which is on a mission to use music to win souls for Christ is hosting the upcoming event to encourage patronage and arouse huge interest in choral music.

“This will be the maiden edition and we hope to be in the homes of our followers by making them happy on that day.

This year marks 11 years of the group’s existence and we have a number of events lined up to mark the celebration.

“Hymns are a form of worship, they serve as a prayer of thanks and an expression of commitment. Many hymns build unity and teach good doctrines for peaceful living but unfortunately, it is not given much attention in our part of the world.

“As you may know, hymns and other Christian songs are full of rich, theological text. The act of singing uses both parts of the brain, therefore it can educate us and teach us about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Singing connects us emotionally and have the power to lead us to dance”, he stated.

Choral music is sung by a choir with two or more voices assigned to each part.

Choral music is necessarily polyphonal, that is consisting of two or more autonomous vocal lines

Mr George Edzi is certain more light should be shed on choral music to arouse the interest of the youth.

“Choral music is not for old people but unfortunately, this has been a long held view so this year, Young Chorale Ghana is going all out to change the narrative that it is a beautiful form of music with great performances,” he added.
