We’re not milking parents, Cost of living has risen over 150% & we have no choice but increase – Private Schools
The Ghana Private Schools Council has justified the increment in tuition fees for the 2023 Academic year.
Most parents across the country have been bemoaning over the bill of their wards at various Private Schools across Ghana.
Mr. Edward, the public relations officer of the council Speaking on Kessben TV with Kwame Appiah Kubi stressed that the recent increment in the tuition fees and other charges are as a result current cost of living which has tripled over the last few months.
Mr. Edward explained that the Private schools do not have control over the prices of goods and services and therefore have to also increase to stay in business with regards to the determining factors.
Apart from the tuition fees of the students other charges have equally shot up due to the current high cost of living in Ghana.
The cost of Transportation, feeding, and books for the students have all gone up giving parents headache in this hard month of January.
