Kotoko vs Olympics: Stadium attendance improved because our leaders went to Radio stations to promote the game – K5

Former National Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Circles, Kwaku Amponsah K5 has attributed the improvement of stadium attendance of the Kotoko Olympics Betpawa Premier League game to Radio Promotion.

Asante Kotoko in recent times has recorded some worst figures in gate proceeds of their home games following the resumption of the Ghana Premier League after the Qatar World Cup.

K5 in an interview with Kessben TV apparently called on the top hierarchy of the club as matter of urgency to engage the traditional media to promote the home games of the club.

The club barely recorded 1000 spectators in a game at the Baba Yara stadium since the league resumed.

The last game played against Great Olympics saw a significant improvement in stadium attendance as over 3,000 spectators paid to watch the game.

Before the game, officials of the club had gone to various Radio stations in Kumasi to promote the game which K5 reckon did help to get over 3000 spectators at the stadium and thus should be continued.
