Cut down on taste, suppress wants to maintain growth in life & marriage – Abena Tweneboah Kodua advises couples

Ghanaian chartered banker and financial expert, Abena Tweneboah Kodua has advised couples to live a moderate lifestyle to enhance growth in marriage and life in general.

The banker speaking on Kessben FM’s Maakye with Sammy Adu Boakye urged couples to do away with unnecessary expenditures which most often are inspired to impress society.

Reacting to the topical issue which had to do with whether or not couples’ income should be known by their partners, Abena Tweneboah Kodua explained why it is imperative for couples to know how much their partners are earning.

According to her, by having a true knowledge of the financial inflows, both can have a better plan for managing to have a good home.

“I will plead with married people that the taste is there but should cut down some the things which are not necessary to maintain growth. Let’s ensure that the needs take the greater part of the expenses.

Let us suppress our wants, especially the women. Some of the things you may have them already so there is no need to buy such things again.

Minimize advice coming from outside into your marriage. Don’t look at what someone’s husband or wife is giving her/him. Look at yourselves, and what you can do to make your life progress.

In all these, ensure that the love is there which if so all the other good things come naturally” She said.
