Ahafo Kenyasi: Passengers declare war on Drivers who are refusing to comply with reduction of fares (Video)
According to some residents of Ahafo Kenyasi in the Ahafo region of Ghana, the drivers in their town are not complying with the new transport fares which was announced last Friday.
The Transport Operators Association of Ghana announced a 15.3% reduction in transportation fares which took effect on Monday, 19th December 2022.
One of the passengers speaking with Kessben TV’s reporter in Ahafo stressed that since the reduction took effect across Ghana on Monday, Drivers in their town have refused to comply.
He added that some of the drivers told them categorically that if they are not ready to pay the old fare charge they should not enter their cars.
The aggrieved residents who do not have any means to forsake these recalcitrants drivers have since declared war on the drivers after reporting to the authorities in Ahafo.
Checks by our reporter indicate the drivers have now been talked to and are ready to comply following the action of the irate residents.
