Kofi Abanga to Afriyie Barnieh: People support Hearts of Oak with their hearts so if you do something which goes against them, the consequences are dire
Former Accra Hearts of Oak attacking midfielder, Kofi Abanga has urged Hearts of Oak player, Afriyie Barnieh to extend his contract in order for the club to benefit from any future sale which is likely.
The Black Stars players after returning from the FIFA world cup in Qatar has seen his contract virtually run out with the Accra Based football club and is set to leave the club for a big move outside Ghana.
Accra Hearts of Oak will cash out from the sale of Afriyie Barnieh who is attracting offers from Europe if the player decides to extend his contract with the Phobians.
Kofi Abanga speaking on Kessben TV’s Extra Time Sports encouraged the forward to extend his contract with Hearts of Oak for the club to benefit from the imminent move.
“It is his decision but to me, he should sign for Hearts to get something out of his sale. A team that picked you from nowhere nurtured you to this level for the whole world to see you, I will say he should sign so that when he moves the team will get something.
That is my opinion, but if he feels that won’t help him so he will go and take his money that is his decision.
Hearts of Oak is a big team. People support the team with their hearts so if you do something which goes against them, the consequences are dire” Kofi said.
