Kumasi plunge into darkness at night with no streetlights – Kessben Maakye crew opens heat
On the Wednesday’s “Kawassem” edition of the Kessben Maakye morning show on Kessben FM/TV, the crew tackled a developmental issue that has to do with the lack of streetlights in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti region.
A video aired from a recent visit to the Ashanti regional capital showed total darkness plunged in and around major streets in Kumasi.
It continues to be precarious to drive or walk alone on these streets with no streetlights as robbers have taken advantage of the unfortunate situation.
Residents say they have complained several times for these streets to be fixed to curb the numerous adverse effect of having no lights at night but nothing has been done.
The Kessben Maakye crew upon their arrival at the Baba Yara sports stadium to cover the NDC regional elections last Sunday observed and experienced the unfortunate.
The crew had their bit on the highly important issue which seems to be on the backburner of the authorities.
