A customer is always right – Lasmid talks about persevering in the face of critics

Ghanaian singer Lasmid has disclosed that embracing criticism has helped grow his career. He revealed on Showbiz 360 that he welcomes all kinds of critique.

“I always put my fans first because they give me feedback on my songs. When they listen to me, they can tell me if I did good or bad.”

Responding to if he experienced any setbacks from criticism from producers or managers, Lasmind replied, “If I had that mindset, I wouldn’t grow.”

Lasmid revealed that his failure to secure a spot on the finals of his participation in the Vodafone Icon reality show encouraged him to work harder. He mentions that he learns from his disappointments.

Lasmid also chose ‘Atele’ as his best song which gingers extraordinary performances every time he climbs the stage.

According to Lasmid, he will not attribute the success of his song, ‘Friday Night’ to only social media. He points out that the collective effort of everyone, on and off social media, popularise the song into a hit.
