Anas’ Latest Expose – Money Cannot Influence Dr. Bawumia, Aide

Dr. Gideon Boako, an Aide to the Vice President, H.E Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has vouched for the integrity and incorruptibility of the Vice President describing him as “smart and discreet” particularly when he [Dr. Bawumia] is dealing with individuals seeking to invest in the country.

Dr. Gideon Boako, in essence, contradicted Hon. Charles Adu Boahen, the Minister of State at the Finance Ministry who allegedly remarked, in an undercover recording that, Dr. Bawumia may require about USD 200,000 token as an appearance fee from a supposed investor to assist him establish a business in Ghana.

These revelations were contained in a yet to be aired undercover investigative documentary by Anas Aremeyaw Anas dubbed, “Our Minister and the Cash”.

The Minister made this revelation in a meeting with Tiger Eye investigators, who, in an undercover investigation, posed as businessmen, in a hotel room in the United Arab Emirates. It was in response to a question posed by Tiger Eye investigators [the supposed businessmen] on how an investor can get the attention of the Vice President and what must be given to him when they meet.

However, according to Anas who made a post on his facebook timeline, when Tiger Eye spoke with Dr. Gideon Boako, an aide and close associate of the Vice President on whether there has been an instance where Dr, Bawumia has authorized anybody to solicit for funds for his political ambitions, Dr. Boako responded emphatically that “there has not been any such instance”.

This therefore suggests that Hon Charles Adu Boahen was only engaged in INFLUENCE PEDDLING similar to what the Former GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi allegedly engaged in, in the Number 12 Investigative Documentary by Anas some four years ago.

Meanwhile, in another development, the same Charles Adu Boahen confirmed Dr. Gideon Baoko’s claims in the yet to be aired “Our Minister & The Cash” undercover documentary when he confessed to Dr. Bawumia’s incorruptibility with a remark that the Vice President was not really like that [as in, he cannot be influenced with money].

“He’s not really, he’s not really (like) that. All he needs is to worry about his campaign money in 2020(SIC),” Charles Adu Boahen was quoted to have said to the Tiger Eye Undercover Investigators.
