‘Na this one too ibi Galamsey” – Hon Simon Osei Mensah reveals what triggered his emotion in Viral Video
The Ashanti regional minister, Hon Simon Osei Mensah has explained what led him to cause the arrest of a man at Ntobroso in the Ashanti region of Ghana.
In the fast-circulating viral video, some residents of Ntoboroso were seen drying cocoa beans on an asphalted road that was recently constructed.
The Action of the residents obviously did not go down well with the regional minister who made sure that one of the guys was arrested.
Hon Simon Osei Mensah speaking on Kessben FM’s Breaking News with Kwasi Ntimoah revealed that he would not have arrested the young man but the gross disrespect shown by the man caused him to ensure that he is arrested.
According to him, during his confrontation with the man, he told him that “What they are doing is not Galamsey for them to be chased away”
When asked to apologize, the man did swear never to apologize which also triggered the Minister to direct his bodyguard to arrest the man.
The man spent a night at the Ashanti regional police headquarters after his arrest before the chiefs and elders of the Ntobroso followed up with a plea to bail him.
