Black Stars 26-man squad to be released on Sunday night with one local player – Kessben Sports
Contrary to reports circulating that the Black Stars squad for the Qatar WorldCup will be released on Friday, checks by Kessben Sports has established that the squad will be released on Sunday 14th November 2022.
The head coach of the Black Stars Otto Addo last Friday released a 55-man provisional squad ahead of the Mundial which had only 3 local players, Dennis Korsah, Afriyie Barnieh, and Danlad Ibrahim.
Deep throats sources have revealed to Kessben sports that only one local player is assured to be selected among the 26-man squad bearing any last-minute happening.
According to the sources, Hearts of Oak Afriyie Barnieh will be the only local player who will be selected for the squad.
The decision to announce the squad on Sunday evening according to the insider was informed by the fact that by Sunday evening all players would play their final games for the various clubs before the start of the Worldcup on 20th November.
