Qatar 2022 Worldcup: No local player will be among Black Stars squad – Reports
Information gaining grounds in the media in Ghana suggests no player from the Ghana premier league will be selected among the 26-man squad for the Qatar 2022 Worldcup.
The technical team of the Black Stars headed by Coach Otto Addo last Friday released a 55-man provisional squad ahead of the tournament which starts in 2 weeks.
The list had only three local players, Goalkeeper Danland Ibrahim of Asante Kotoko, Afriyie Barnieh of Accra Hearts of Oak, and Denis Korsah of Accra Hearts of Oak.
Coach Otto Addo is scheduled to announce the final 26-man squad for the Qatar Worldcup on 14th November 2022.
The Black Stars will open its group stage game with Portugal on 24th November, play South Korea on 28th November and face Uruguay in the last group game on 2nd December 2022.
