‘Sika mp3 dede nanso 3kom fre dede’ – Dr Duffour replies Akufo Addo
Dr. Kwabena Duffour has reacted to H.E Nana Addo “Sika mp3 dede’s comment to Ghanaians noting that 3kum fr3 dede’ which literally means hunger invites noise.
According to him, the economic success under Professor Mills’ administration was the best since independence.
Addressing the media at the international Press center, he stated that, the exchange rate of 1.20ghc –1.00 US dollars stood from 2008 and rose marginally to 1.80ghc –1.00 US dollars at the end of 2012.
The economy registered a GDP growth rate of 14.5% in 2011 which emerged as one of the fastest-growing economies in the world.
He noted that the budget deficit had reduced to 4% GDP from 2011 to 14. 5% at the end of 2008.
Dr. Kwabena Duffour stressed that the unemployment rate dropped from 5.3% in 2010 to about 2.2% by the end of 2012 to 2013 but as it stands now, the economy is ailing.
Mr. Duffour called on all Ghanaians to stand up and lift the country to soar higher again in the sky like the eagle to the benefit of the children and generations unborn.
He added that, even though SIKA MP3 DEDE NANSO 3KUM FR3 DEDE. YE ANI ABRE, 3KUM DE Y3N. Let us arise and build together to avoid the looming national disgrace.
