Prez Akufo Addo warns GFA president of Influencing player selection at Qatar WorldCup (Video)
The Ghana Football Association as part of activities to create awareness for the upcoming Qatar 2022 Worldcup visited the presidency to present a jersey to the President, Nana Akufo Addo.
The GFA was led by the Ghana football association president, Kurt Okraku and some members of the executive committee of the football association.
The president in his welcoming address to the GFA noted that he is very confident in the technical team that the FA has assembled.
He urged all Ghanaians to do their bit to support the team to excel at the biggest football Mundial but was quick to point out some of the headaches which revolve around player selection and interference.
“Let’s all do our bit to support the team to excel. We support your decisions. What is always the problem is the selection, this person should play, the president says I should tell you X player should play, no we don’t want any of that.
We have confidence in the people you have chosen, You’ve got a very good team. Otto Addo, Chris Hughton and George Boateng” The president said.
