Kumasi To The World: Mel.O featured on CNN with his bang ‘Take You Away’
Ghanaian budding Afro-Soul musician, Mel.O has achieved a new feat in his music career with his latest song, ‘Take You Away’
The young Afrobeats singer based in Kumasi got his song, ‘Take You Away’, selected and featured on CNN’s African Voices Changemakers – a weekly show that highlights how Africa’s biggest talents cause positive change in society.
On the newest episode of CNN’s African Voices – My Drive with Richard Mofe-Damijo (Nigeria’s legendary actor), Mel.O’s ‘Take You Away’ tune was the first song played on the show as part of the few selected African songs used purposely for the TV program.
CNN also added Mel.O’s ‘Take You Away’ song to the official CNN African Voices Changemakers #CNNAVC Playlist on Apple Music.
This is a big win for Mel.O, an artiste who is less than a year old in Ghana’s music industry.
Currently, Mel.O’s ‘Take You Away’ is doing so well on the music streaming platforms and also enjoying massive radio airplay nationwide.
CNN’s African Voices Changemakers #CNNAVC Playlist on Apple Music also features songs from top Ghanaian acts like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Manifest and Becca.
Some of the biggest names from the African continent on CNN’s playlist include musicians like Akon, Angelique Kidjo, Burna Boy, Master KG, Olamide, Kizz Daniel, Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade.
