Afriyie Barnieh is not transferable – Alhaji Akambe
Board member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Alhaji Akambe has debunked reports circulating that Afriyie Barnieh is on the verge of leaving the club.
Afriyie Barnieh reportedly refused to extend his contract with the club which runs out in December, 2022 but the BoD member of the club says the player won’t leave.
Our sources at the club say the club has been in talks with the player about extending his contract with them for a while but no agreement has been reached yet.
Teams abroad especially Scandinavian clubs have shown interest in signing Afriyie but Hearts of oak have turned down all the offers.
Alhaji Akambe speaking on Kessben TV with Kwame Mikke debunked reports that Afriyie may join Asante Kotoko.
He categorically said that Afriyie Barnieh is currently not transferable indicating talks with him to extend his contracts with Hearts of Oak are near sealed.
