Unfulfilled Promise: Asante Kotoko players cry for their reward of winning the 2021-2022 Ghana Premier League

Players of Kumasi Asante Kotoko are disquieted over the management of the club’s failure to honour their promise after winning the 2021-23 Ghana premier league, Kessben Sports has gathered.

Months after the Kumasi-based football club was crowned champions of the 2021-22 Ghana premier league, the playing body of the club have not received any reward in line with triumph.

The players who were hopeful of being rewarded after winning the league which had eluded the club for almost a decade have been left disappointed.

They were expected to be rewarded before the start of the new premier league season but the club’s preparation towards the African campaign is understood to have delayed their reward.

The chances of the players getting their reward continued to dim after Kotoko got crashed out from the CAF champions league by RC Kadiogo in the first round of the competition.

A source within the playing body indicated that players are very worried over the unfulfilled promise but are sceptical to demand.
