The disgrace is too much, if you win the league & your team is not good, GFA should not allow you to go & disgrace Ghana – Kotoko Legend

Former Asante Kotoko defender, Emmanuel Ampiah has suggested that the Ghana Football Association should just not allow winners of the Ghana premier league and the second-placed teams to represent Ghana in the African club competition.

Speaking on Kessben FM’s Extra Time Sports, the legendary ex-Ghana footballer said the performance of Ghanaian teams that qualify to play in the CAF champions league and confederation cup should be checked before allowing them to compete.

“Let’s look at your performance, if it is not up to standard, you should not be allowed to go and disgrace the nation. Yes, you have won the league but they should not let you go because your performance is not good.

They are denting the image of Ghana football. When you speak the truth some people will be saying otherwise. Let’s face the fact.

The Kotoko team is not good. The Hearts team is not good. What pained me the most is how the coach left. You know you are going to play Africa yet you sack the coach.

And for Kotoko bringing a french coach this time, when will the players understand him? It was big mistake” He said.
