Over 200 drivers in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region have demonstrated massively against the District Chief Executive for the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District Hon Emmanuel Ransford Kwesi Nyarko over threats to sack them from where they are stationed.
The angry Drivers besieged the District Assembly, with their petition where they got very angry after the District Chief Executive refused to address them.
According to the angry driver, they won’t pay any road Levy in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District again due to the poor working service.
Speaking in an interview with Kessben FM’s Nana Tawiah, the District Chief Executive for Ajumako Enyan Essiam District Hon Emmanuel Ransford Kwesi Nyarko after receiving their petition said, he will address their challenges with them.
He noted that the drivers in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District are not law-abiding and take passengers anyhow without applying rules and regulations governing them.
He said, the District Assembly decided to find them a new station but the driver kicked against it.
And as at now, the District is finding it difficult to give them a station to load since the drivers have kicked against it.
He said, henceforth, the District Assembly will enforce effective law to make sure that drivers in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District are disciplined.
