The country is broke, let’s be honest with ourselves and be truthful to the people – Abdulai Jinapor (Video)
Member of Parliament for Damango Constituency in the Savanna Region, John Abdulai Jinapor has said the Government should be honest and face the realities regarding the state of the nation’s economy.
The former Minister of State speaking with Kessben TV’s Kwame Appiah Kubi on Maakye said the economic woes of the nation could only be overturned if those in government accept the reality by being truthful to themselves.
Abu Jinapor wants the Government to be truthful by conceding that the nation is broke thus finding the rightful solution to the effect.
According to him, there is no way the ailing economic situation can be fixed if the government continues to cover up and make it appear the situation is not vicious.
He lamented over the current high cost of living noting that the current inflation rate of 34% is astronomic with the present interest rate which stands at 30%
