These Kotoko players don’t learn & if you try to advise them they say your time is past, it’s their time – Joe Agyemang Snr
Ex-Asante Kotoko footballer, Joe Agyemang Senior has slammed the current generation of Asante Kotoko players, describing them as slothful.
Legend of the club, John Bannerman recently described the current crop of players at Asante Kotoko as unfit even to train with their then squad of 1983.
Joe Agyemang Senior reacting to the assertion by John Bannerman buttressed what his former colleague said.
He noted that the current generation of players at Kotoko will not even break into the under-20 side of their time.
“It is very true because at Kotoko everyone wants to be there and most of these players are captains from other teams. it was not easy for them to break into the starting lineups.
These players, the opportunities have come for them. If you speak, they say it’s their time. They don’t learn and while you try to advise them, they tell you your time is past”
The former player of the club added that Kotoko can only make do with the available thus tasked the technical team and the players to forge ahead and record a respectable scoreline as they face Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
