Kotoko is not a business team, Nana Yaw Amponsah is killing the club & he must be fired – Kotoko fans after Kadiogo defeat
Some Asante Kotoko supporters have gone after the Chief Executive Officer of the club, Nana Yaw Amponsah after RC Kadiogo shockingly eliminated the Kumasi-based football club from the CAF champions league.
Asante Kotoko was beaten by the Burkinabe side 1-0 and at the Baba Yara sports stadium following one goal advantage in Benin a week ago as Kotoko beat Kadiogo 1-0 in the first leg.
The game proceeded to penalty kicks and Kotoko was beaten by 3-1 in the shootouts crushing the home side out from the CAF champions league.
After the game, a section of the supporters called for the sacking of the CEO of the club.
According to them, the CEO of the club is using their beloved club to pursue business interests at the expense of the team’s development which will translate to better performance.
One fan stressed that Kotoko can not be run like the WAFA therefore the CEO must face the exit point.
Another supporter bemoaned that Nana Yaw Amponsah is gradually killing the team and if not sacked he will completely collapse the team.
