Kotoko and Hearts should not expect anything in Africa immediately – George Amoako (Video)
Ghana Football Association Executive committee member, Goerge Amoako has said that Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak should lower their expectation of winning the CAF champions league and the CAF confederation cup.
The King Faisal FC CEO says Ghanaian football clubs ought to plan and build better teams that will prepare them to make an impact in African football in future.
Speaking on Kessben TV’s Extra Time Sports, George Amoako said, Ghanaian clubs should rather aim at getting to the group stages of the African tournaments and improve from that stage.
“We need to plan and build our teams very well so that we do well in future. Immediately nobody should expect anything. Your maximum is to qualify for the money zone and work from there and try to improve.
We don’t have the means like Al-ahly to be buying players for $2 million. You buy $20,000 player to compare to $2 million player, is it fair? We have a lot to do. We are lucky, the talents are here but not ready to stay and develop’ said George Amoako.
