A/R: Our parents are happy when we bring home gold – Primary school students resort Galamsey (Video)
Some children believed to be in Primary school have been captured engaging in Galamsey activities at Ahwerewamu in the Ashanti region of Ghana.
The school-going children were seen in a recent video at a Galamsey site engaging in what is described as Dig and wash in Galamsey.
Speaking to the former Assemblyman of the area, Mr Yaw Stephen, the children said their parents are fully aware of their engagement in the act.
They stressed that their parents become so excited on days when they bring home gold after engaging in the dig and wash.
These children normally storm Galamsey sites to work when they are on vacation.
